The objective of the survey, including subsequent interviews, is to determine exactly what project companies are doing well. We asked Project Executives: what makes a great project, what works best for their project portfolio and what is their strategy for executing a string of successful projects?\nThe responders included Owners, EPC, Engineering, Construction, Service Companies and System providers within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Utility, General Industry, Mining, Medical, IT, Defense and Aerospace. The common denominator among all these companies is that they all run complex projects and they have a project executive overseeing the project portfolio.\nTopics include:\n\nthe importance of the project manager and the team\nscalability and repeatability of project success\nfront-end planning, digitalization and standardization\ncollaboration, agility and contracting strategies\nbest practice and lean principles\n\nThe takeaway of this presentation is about real best practice. What are the novel ideas being applied and which ones are just a fad? Project businesses are by nature very different from each other, so look for lessons learned that are meaningful to your business. However, clarity and cohesion tends to be common to all top performers. Learn how they make that happen.\nSpeaker:\n\nErik Wiik, President, ReAdapt, Inc.\n\nMr. Wiik is the President of ReAdapt Inc., an engineering company serving the Energy Industry.
