The Water Quality & Technology Conference (WQTC26), hosted by the American Water Works Association, brings water professionals together to explore the latest research, technologies, and solutions shaping water quality. The 2026 program will address emerging contaminants, PFAS, lead and copper, microplastics, perchlorate, potable reuse, pathogens, and other critical water quality challenges.

• PCW01: Standard Methods for Cyanobacteria and Their Metabolites: Practical Applications in Source Water

  A full-day workshop covering microscopy, qPCR, and standardized approaches for monitoring cyanobacteria, toxins, and harmful algal blooms.
• PCW02: Using Adenosine Triphosphate (ATP) to Monitor Microbial Regrowth & Biological Stability in the Drinking Water Distribution System

  Explore how ATP testing can support faster monitoring of microbial water quality and biological changes within drinking water distribution systems.
• PCW03: Beyond the Excel Grind: Leveling Up Your Data Analysis
  Sunday, November 15, 2026 | 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
  Learn how modern data tools can be used for everything from data preparation and analysis to machine learning, with hands-on practice using both code-based and no-code approaches.
• Facility Tour of the Sheahan Pumping Station
  Thursday, November 19, 2026 | 7:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
  Shuttle departs from the Peabody Hotel at 7:30 a.m.
  Tour the James Sheahan Pumping Station, owned by Memphis Light, Gas, and Water. The facility draws water from the Memphis Sands Aquifer and uses aeration and filtration before distribution. The station has a capacity of 35 million gallons per day.
