About Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Houston

We help young people realize a positive plan for the future that includes academic success, good character and citizenship, workforce readiness, and a healthy lifestyle. Each year, over 55,000 youth ages 6 to 18 walk through our doors for afterschool and summer programs. At our Clubs, youth are provided meals, strong role models, homework assistance, organized athletics, character development, and access to the arts.

Mission: To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.

Program Pillars

  • Academic Success: Young people are self-directed learners who succeed academically.
  • Character & Leadership: Young people stay true to their values, demonstrate good citizenship, and drive positive change.
  • Health & Well-Being: Young people make informed, healthy decisions resulting in overall well-being.
  • Life & Workforce Readiness: Young people are equipped to navigate adulthood and pursue a fulfilling, economically viable career path.
